Welcome to Stacia Davis Moore’s Portfolio. Stacia is a multi-media artist living and working in Ohio. This site serves as a reference for her artwork, current and past, as well as a portal to contact her, discover new events, and learn more about her.
Stacia Davis Moore is a native-born Ohio artist. She received her BFA from the Ohio University in 1981 with the distinction of having her work acquired for the O.U. President's collection. She established and ran a small metals program for undergraduates which she taught for several years. The curriculum included working with silver, gold, nu-gold, pewter, copper and brass. Her scope has been wide-ranging, with an affinity for the media of metal and glass, jewelry and small metal work, lighting design, architectural ornamentation in patinated copper and stained glass.
Working for a time in an art foundry, Stacia both fabricated and cast artist's designs ranging from tabletop size sculpture to larger-than-life monuments. She enjoyed complete involvement-making flexible molds, wax patterns, investing and casting, welding finishing, patination and installation. During this time, she was instrumental in realizing works by George Segal, George Danhires, Brinsley Tyrell, David Klahn, David Hostetler and many others.
After 12 years involvement in the operation of her father's business of designing and manufacturing hydraulic load lifting equipment, Stacia became certified as a Level One and Senior Level instructor in Art Clay. Contact her for availability!

The Color Collection ~
In August of 2008, Stacia Davis Moore revealed the Color Collection. The intent of this project is to share colorful limited edition runs of art to supply retail venues and my web site with creative products for my customers.
The products include signed and numbered pieces. Certificates of authenticity. And, in some cases "Story Cards" will be included with each piece.
Glass Boxes, Energy Catchers and Nite Lites measure approximately 3x3x1-1/2"
There will be a book of record maintaining a log of product distribution.
The "Pink" Ohio Star Products, and the dichroic glass Ohio Star pendants are part of a very special collection. 25% of the sale of these products will be directed to a fund to support a woman, a very dear friend, who has dedicated much of her work to helping others. After being caught in recent state budget cuts she has learned that her 'newest' project is to walk in dignity through her journey with breast cancer. Visit this link to learn more about her vision, a project that honors her mother, Nina, a quilter, Appalachia and barns. http://www.rwc.uc.edu/koehler/quiltbarns.html
